I'll have my studio open for Philadelphia Open Studio Tours again this year. I'll have small artist books, my 366 iPhone project catalog, and new drawings. It's going to be an exciting Philadelphia Open Studios Tour EAST weekend for me. In addition to having my studio open, I have been invited to show work with the fabulous Marguerita Hagan in her studio just north of Spring Garden Avenue.
I'm very excited to exhibit my 15-foot-long drawing, soundings : fifteen seven, and several smaller indigo blue field drawings. Marguerita's La Mer series of small sculpted organisms will dance with my soundings pieces.
Participating in Open Studios this year was harder than previous years. My energy was low and I had to call in help from my good friends and fellow artists. They did so much hard work for me and I am grateful.
One of the most helpful ways to show my work was my exhibition of 366 iPhone project in the public space @HBHQ. I was lucky to have a good amount of new work to show and decided to fill my worktable with finished drawings and works in progress.
I was also able to display my 366 iPhone catalog/book that was just published.
Join me as I participate again thi year in Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. My studio is east of Broad Street so the dates are the first weekend in October 3 - 4 from noon to 6 pm

I've been making drawings daily in anticipation of Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. Working in different directions, experimenting.
I'll be showing drawings new and old. This pic is a Hipstamatic grab of two drawings. Been very busy extending my measurement works. These show three dips. The larger needs the last pen dip.

Morning coffee and contemplating the arrangement of my studio for open studios.
I have such a love/hate relationship with open studios. The idea of allowing people I don't know into such a personal and sacred place can almost paralyze me. Often I leave the room when someone visits. I just can't watch them peering.
I'm participating in the city wide Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. I hope you'll save the date on your calendar. I'll be showing and selling from my #drawingaday project 2012. I'll also have larger work from 2012 and now my new pieces from 2013.

I've been getting my studio ready for Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. We have tracks for lighting in our hallways and I'm hanging work there. Got these puppies and they should cover the space I have picked out just right. Now to install them so I can select the work.
