I have taken the plunge back into some printmaking.
My artgirl @brushheart and I had a studio day together; an adventure in lino printing. I decided after making some very skeletal sketches that I would just cut what I felt that day and print it. I had to use this amazing yellow.
Current projects on the wall including the brand new red ones.
So thrilled to start the new year right.
I spent so much of my day up and down this very ladder. Adjusting lights, hanging drawings in progress, moving this and that. What a long and productive day in the studio.
This week in the studio I worked on a three panel drawing I've been working on for a few weeks. This is in a new series that I have been making sketches for awhile. In an effort to test the limits of creating larger drawings by making a group of panels that are joined together. This first group of three panels create a very atmospheric space. I'm imagining more.
The entire drawing is made with colored ink and a single bamboo pen.

I've been getting my studio ready for Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. We have tracks for lighting in our hallways and I'm hanging work there. Got these puppies and they should cover the space I have picked out just right. Now to install them so I can select the work.
Just got the new led glowies hung in the hallway that Marjorie and I share. Now if only we could get the photographers across the hall to be more selective. More is just more.
