i know I can be a tease So here’s the latest; I’m putting together a show for my 4x4 Project. The plan is to have at minimum 365 drawings in the show. I may be temped to show more since i’ve been pretty energized. Please join my mailing list to get updates and the invite for the preview and sale. These little ones will be very affordable.

I was happy to partiicipate in the Philadelphia Open Studio Tours again in 2018. I had many wonderful, thoughtful visitors. I had a large selection of new drawings.
I'm currently assessing participating again in 2019. More likely than not. Its always good to meet new folks and talk with fellow artists.

Submitted this to KIND OF BLUE. I've begun making a small series of experimental repetitive mark drawings. It's easy to make some of these where ever I go. There will be a series at Philadelphia Open Studio Tours this year.

I'm excited to announce a solo show of my newest drawings.
March 3 – 30, 2018
RECEPTION
Saturday, March 10, 4 – 6 PM
This exhibition features all new drawings. In the past year I have renewed my exploration of color relationships and color saturation, a departure from my last exhibition. These drawings on panels move gently onto new planes.
The constant in my work is the role of process and materials. Methodical, repetitious, and meditative marks are the vocabulary of measurement and probing.

A Patch of Landscape is one of my new single-sheet books that is in the RiTUAL show in Philadelphia. Often these books help push ahead other ideas for new drawings. This book reinterpreta several previous drawings that I have made of landscape impressions over the tears.
You can see it in RiTUAL at HBHQ / 1241 Carpenter I have several other books. There are 200+ books.
Check the catalog.

Punch List is one of my new single-sheet books that is in the RiTUAL show in Philadelphia. Often these books help push ahead other ideas for new drawings. This drawing is on an orange Canson paper. The dots are drawn with a Montana Marker. I enjoy the resulting effect they have on different surfaces.

Last week I finished a commission.
The buyer/collector came and viewed it for the first time, paid for it, and took it home. I'm trying to take it all in. It was all quicker than I thought it would be. No real time to spend with the finished piece.
The results as always a product of the process. The process in chosing colors and marks was considerable. Many experiments to determine the process and the tools. It is one of the larger drawings I have made to date.

Group Show with four 1241 artists. Damini Celebre, Tim McFarlane, Alexis Nutini and Stella Untalan. Repetition is the simple repeating of a mark, with no particular placement or color or size of the marks. In this show each artist works with repetition as a means to engage the viewer in something unexpected.
