Punch List is one of my new single-sheet books that is in the RiTUAL show in Philadelphia. Often these books help push ahead other ideas for new drawings. This drawing is on an orange Canson paper. The dots are drawn with a Montana Marker. I enjoy the resulting effect they have on different surfaces.

Last week I finished a commission.

The buyer/collector came and viewed it for the first time, paid for it, and took it home. I'm trying to take it all in. It was all quicker than I thought it would be. No real time to spend with the finished piece.

The results as always a product of the process. The process in chosing colors and marks was considerable. Many experiments to determine the process and the tools. It is one of the larger drawings I have made to date.

Group Show with four 1241 artists. Damini Celebre, Tim McFarlane, Alexis Nutini and Stella Untalan. Repetition is the simple repeating of a mark, with no particular placement or color or size of the marks. In this show each artist works with repetition as a means to engage the viewer in something unexpected.

Being in the Woods unites Stella Untalan‘s ink drawings and Brian David Dennis‘ large cardboard construction titled, [bar], in a meta-magical art installation vibrating with the rhythms of the universe and nature. Minimalist drawings using walnut ink and a nib are serenely precise and flow with life energy. The repetition and hand/mind control pulses across the sheen of the paper like heart beats, the measure of time is palpable and flowing.

Yesterday went to see the Agnes Martin show before it closed. It was sublime. Only took a couple pics because I was in a be here now state of mind. The alcoves of the Rotunda were like little chapels to one or two pieces. The 72 inch square pieces were solitary while the 60 inch squares were paired. The pairings were very thoughtful.

The written image. presents a thought provoking array of works which, in a variety of ways, visually examine the symbolic and conceptual complexity of words and language. The exhibition has been skillfully curated by Susanna Gold, and the presentation in her bright Bryn Mawr home, which spans a series of rooms, is refreshingly pleasant.

It's a wonderful thing having your work documented by a professional. The managing of light so that it is even and soft showing your work as it should be seen.

I know that my work has very subtle marks and value changes that are difficult to see in photographs. That's why it is so important to have a professional photograph my work. It's also important for that photographer to capture the spirit of the work and manage what the camera sees.

Now that this drawing is photographed I can work on the hardware to install it at the collectors home. Photographing that will be next.

In this exhibition Marguerita Hagan's single-cell beings of Le Mer dance with the depth measuring of Stella Untalan's Soundings drawings. In the depths Stella measures these creatures are lively and magical contributing to the circle of life on our planet. The exhibition can be seen by appointment.

It's always a team effort to install my fifteen foot drawing. Here's a few pics of Brian Dennis using his considerable skills. We worked out a plan and now the drawing looks very happy at Marguerita Hagan and Pierre Trombert's studio.

I'm looking for possibilities to install it somewhere or at least for an extended period of time.

I would love this piece to have a permanent home. Ya interested?
