Confusion. Experimentation.
How chaotic can a drawing be and still work?

Limited palette.
Can I make a drawing with pink?
I hate pink.
Wishy washy pink.
But the energy came from the spirals. All was well even in the work of pink.

Quick, draw.
I almost forgot to make my drawing this day. I made it simple and enjoyed a bit of texture and transparency.

There is a rhythm to the drawings over time. This one signals the move to more stillness.
Only a few marks from some tools I have used many times so far in this project.
We can move through the strings that are a common element in many if not all of my drawings.
Earthy and rich I have enjoyed revisiting this one.

Something busy.
That’s how my brain felt when I made this drawing. Managing all the floxsum and jetsum.
Still it was not chaos — just dense.

Really Barbie purple?
It looks like a plastic toy. A total surprise. Where did that come from? Absolutely out of my usual color space. Scary and exciting at the same time.

Coffee colored.
Using the marks in a different combination. Reversing the values and seeing what happens here.
I know I was thinking of the dirt in the potted plants. This is how those thoughts came out.

Color in the same horizontal space feels like candy.

Moving back to a more familiar language and a value study. Working toward floating objects in a deep space.
These rings floating in space make me want to swim through them. There is someting so joyous in these tones.

A narrative.
Modern and quick. Like a poem.
