In the studio : June 2018

Building boxes on my worktable.

June is shaping up to be the last of the spring cleaning for a bit. Many series of drawings have been stored in boxes and the last of the boxes are being glued to store pairs of drawings that have been mounted on boards. I've been able to clear my flat files for more drawings. I'm hoping I'll be able to extend this system to make more drawings easily available for when I have studio visits.

These new boxes will help me store work and transport it in a safe manner. Building, gluing, and clamping the boxes also helps keep my hands strong and clears my head for the new work I will begin.

I find it very helpful to stage my work at different work stations.

While the box glue is setting I already have surfaces ready for the start of a series of new allsorts drawings.
