In my studio today.

I really went to my studio today expecting nothing. I thought I would clean up and store some tools and supplies I wasn't using right now. I began to do just that while my coffee machine did it's thing.

Three drawings inked.

My favorite place for inking —the glass counter.

I have a fabulous glass counter that I use for mixing inks and inking my linos or blocks it's 9 feet long to accomodate a number of colors or mixes. It's easy to clean up too. I purchased two new inks Graphite and Paynes Gray. I have an idea brewing.

Yummy yummy.

I decided that I had just enough time before I left the studio to do draw-downs to sample the ink on white.

You see them while still wet.

And finally with a darker patch at the bottom.

The start of something.

My interest in printmaking is not to make multiple copies of exactly the same thing. I'm interested in the differences that occur from inking differences and placement and transparent. Planning a vocabulary that will be used over and over again.

Signed, matted and packed up a drawing for a buyer yesterday.

It's always wonderful for my work to find a new home.

This is my work table as I did some very rough sketches to get started on my new printmaking adventure. My idea was to make marks on different pieces of linoleum and see how they might work together after the pieces we're complete.

I have taken the plunge back into some printmaking.

My artgirl @brushheart and I had a studio day together; an adventure in lino printing. I decided after making some very skeletal sketches that I would just cut what I felt that day and print it. I had to use this amazing yellow.
