I've begun a new series of Allsorts drawings. They are made on 6 x 6 inch birch cradled panels. I've selected a color palette for the backgrounds and begun a series of color tests.

These are the drawings I've made so far. I'm about to prep another dozen panels this week. Looking forward to showing more detailed images.

I’m working on my coffee table catalog for my upcoming 4x4 project 2019 exhibition.

In case you haven’t been following my project I’m adding a link to my website journal post. This image is a sampler of four drawings. I’ve been posting an occasional drawing here on Okuna. The drawings are only 4x4 inches square; I think that’s about 10x10 cm I’ve been making drawings all year and have some 400 already.

Divided but not Equal And Almost Random.  Ink and pencil on Black Fabriano. My 4x4.2019 project. It’s impossible to make repetitive marks without the revealing of pattern and density.

My 4x4.2019 project. Another 4x4 inch drawing. The project is coming to a close. Only a few more weeks ahead. These are a couple drawings that feel like a pair.

My 4x4 project progresses. Some days I can't elp myself and must make more than one. I've added a warm white Stonehenge paper to my stack of cut down squares. I'm making some micro pen drawings with some new pens I was given for my birthday.

I've also been scanning, signing, and numbering the drawings. Each will be put it's own display bag for the show and sale in 2020.

A selection of drawings in my 365.2019 project.

It's great to be going through my drawers and flat files to find scraps of unused paper to make these drawings. There are plenty more coming. Enjoy this small grouping. Each drawing is a wnderful discovery.

Now it's time to cut down some more 4 x 4 inch squares.

I've begun working on a plan for my 365/2019

I'll begin making drawings in February. This is my sketchbook where I started setting the perameters.

I expect to create my grids this weekend so I can test some of te systems I'll ned to keep the drawings centered and keep to the process.

Looking forward to sharing more as soon as I cam.

I spent some time getting back to drawing my microweave pieces. These are each about 3 x 3 or 4 x 4 inches square. I'll be looking through them to see which really have a unique feel. Loving my Stablio pens, planning on extending the colors in my pencil case.

I currently have a dozen.

They each take patience and being in a very restful state.
