These three pieces took a trip to their new home in Hoboken last week. We're so happy they have found a home. Each is pastel on board : 8" x 8" : 2007

Egyptian waters is an incredibly successful series of drawings for me. I have two full series each has 10 drawings. Two of the drawings were recently acquired on the west coast. The two are from the second series and are shown below.

There is interest in four others. I have my fingers crossed.

I've been working on some very active drawings this summer. These four red squares are crying out for names. I haven't discovered them yet. I thought if I put them at my blog I could look at them more and think about names. I also told folks that I would post the drawings when they were finished. So here we go.

I've been working on new drawings for a couple weeks now. I just uploaded my new series Winter Twins to my website. I've added one below.

Check out the full series here: http://www.stellauntalan.com

Spent saturday with my pal photographing a body of work that was too big to scan. It's exciting to think about getting this work on the web. It's also cool to think about the whole process of documenting.

The time moves quickly when you have a really good photographer and you are prepared. Yet, you have the time to consider each piece you shoot and become familiar with it again.

I worked lots of hours yesterday on the new website. The work that is most difficult is the decisions I have to make as an artist about how I want my work seen -- in what context. Do I want these images grouped together even though the chronology would place them near eachother? How many galleries of images do I want to show? Naming, oh my naming. Each series creates an onion skin layering of titles. How do I want that to work?

How many new photos do I need?
Am I putting a photo of me with the bio?

Geeze. Now I'm really glad we're making heavybubble.com

Ok, lots is going on behind the scenes. I'm moving my art site into the heavybubble framework. I look forward to letting everybody take a look at my work in the new space.

Heavy bubble is a service that Stellarvisions has been working on for several months. Artists will be able to create and maintain their own websites. We will be building numerous designs that are perfect for the presentation of work in a professional setting.

The thing is I do need some work photographed.
Oh well, its always that way.

I finally have posted four pieces that were drawn during the summer. I was investigating making drawings with pencil and sitting down -- a very different experience for me in the studio.
