Making ready with Yupo.

My special order of Yupo synthetic paper had arrived and was waiting to be unpacked. It took two of us to put the carton on my worktable— it was about 25 pounds. When that was accomplished I had to clear a flat file drawer for it. That began a whole series of reorganizing. An easy task but required a bit of time. But as you can see I was successful.

YUPO Synthetic Paper is 100% recyclable, waterproof and tree-free. That means I can show the work without framing. It doesn't absorb moisture — it has to air dry. It is translucent and graphite melts onto the surface. These big sheets will break new ground. I've never made drawings this big on this substrate. Looking forward to what can happen with these new sheets.

Planning on lots of graphite scribbles.

This may be the chance to make a series of sheets joined together.
