In the studio: Lighting needs to change

I've been working on some ideas for creating better task lighting in the studio. The current situation includes several 8 foot work lights. These give me headaches after extended exposure so I need to make a change.

I've several sets of low voltage halogen and I'm thinking of installing them. They would be installed over my work counters at two walls in the studio. I would then as some LED lighting overhead in the main working space. If I use shop light fixThe question I'm researching is whether I can replace them later with LED bulbs. This of course is a technical question that requires some electrical knowledge.

If I can replace them with LED it would be great as far as energy consumption goes. Also to keep temperatures down in the studio in the summer. Using halogen floods in the studio on my drawing walls is hot enough. Tires that use 4 foot tubes they can use LED bulbs made to work in those spaces... Or even LED flood lights.

Now to measure and plan for adding the fixtures so I can see what having an electrician will cost to put the different zones on switches. Make some plans and present them to Steve.
